Blog Entry Assignment #2

In part one of my project I used the different shaped and sizes to creative contrast in my picture. I believe I created this with using the linear object to block the circular shape from exiting the left side of my picture. On the right side of the picture I used a square object to block it so that you eyes are held in the middle.

The second part of my collage I tried to created movement with the different shaped to move your eyes throughout the page. I chose to use the square as the largest. Then I decided to use the triangles, which are all different sizes, and lines, which are all different lengths, to point your eyes in all different directions. I believe that this is great movement for the viewer’s eyes.

The third collage I used shapes that had other different shapes inside of them. I think that this is a great challenge for the eyes because it keeps them roaming the piece. I do not think that they get stuck on one object or are led to the edge.

I really enjoyed doing this assignment because it was challenging since you can only use few items. These items are not allowed to have color which is sometimes hard to concentrate on and find interesting. I find that I did create such pieces.
