Week 2

As I was looking online for things to talk about I came across this Damien Hirst Piece. It is names “Theories, Models, Methods, Approaches, Assumptions, Results, and Findings. He created this piece in 2000 and I think it is very interesting to look at.

Unlike the shark we were shown I believe this piece gives a much different feeling to the viewers, or at least to me. I feel this piece is lighter feeling and symbolizes luck or fun. When you play the lottery you are taking a chance. I believe that Damien did this in his artwork and when he was doing so he wished for luck.

It is very fitting for a creation from an artist. An artist wants the best for their pieces and also wealth. Damien feels he has fit the jackpot with this artwork.

Everything that this piece is I like. With the clear inside with balls jumping and silver ball shoots at the bottom. It is such a simple thing but he makes such a statement with just enclosing it. It mean luck for him, he feels he was won the jackpot, and is very happy and having fun with this idea. I really enjoy this piece!
